Brief Description ::: Ibn Sinha was one of the best physicians, mathematicians, astronomers, and philosophers in the Middle East. He is also claimed by scholars in Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Russia as their national genius. He contributed to the founding of medieval epistemology. His main contribution was in medicine. He wrote the medical encyclopedia Kanun Fittibb which was taught in various universities and medical institutes in the East and West till the nineteenth century. In Arabic, Ibn Sina is referred to as Shaykhul Rice.
