Not that there was no attempt to warn Baghdad society. Mujahideen came from different places at different times to inform Baghdad about the Mongol forces. But it is not possible to stop the decay of a society that is in a state of decay.
From the time of Ogedai Khan, the Sejho son of Genghis Khan, the Mongols wanted to subdue the Caliph of Baghdad. The caliph thought that sending some gifts would save him from danger. But Monkey Khan (Genghis Khan's grandson) made it clear to the caliph that you must obey me. Otherwise, I am sending Halaku Khan (Monkey Khan's brother, Genghis Khan's grandson) to destroy you.
On hearing that Halaku Khan was coming to conquer Baghdad, the incompetent Caliph al-Mustassim sought the opinion of his vizier, Ibn al-Alqami. "If the Mongols invade Baghdad, Muslims from all over the world will come forward to defend Baghdad," said the incompetent vizier Alkami. So you have nothing to fear.
But the reality was different. The Ayubian princes of the West were preoccupied with their own quarrels, they had already lost power in Egypt. The surviving Seljuk Room in Anatolia (present-day Turkey) also collapsed after the collapse of the Seljuk Empire in the northwest. And the only way to get help from the court in East Delhi is for Iran and Afghanistan to be occupied by the Mars forces. So there is no possibility of help coming from Muslims in other parts of the world. Despite all the knowledge, the caliph was falsely assured by Wazir Ibn Al Alkami! In fact, al-Qaeda's plan was to voluntarily hand over Baghdad to the Mongols to protect the Shiites through compromise.
Alas, destiny! In the grip of power, Caliph An-Nasir (predecessor of Caliph al-Mustasim) sent a letter to the Mongols one day requesting an invasion of the Khawarizm empire in Central Asia. Those Mongols are coming today to destroy his dynasty.
It should be noted that during the reign of Caliph An Nasir, the Khawarizm Empire was one of the most powerful empires in Central Asia with four lakh warriors in Surrey. The empire was a Muslim empire.
